PRESIDENT & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jimmy Bayes is the Executive Director of Dunamis Empowerment Foundation.

Dr. Bayes has over twenty-five years working in corporations, nonprofit organizations, and churches.

Dr. Bayes helped to start Dunamis  to see individuals become empowered and succeed in life and to promote social, structural, psychological, and divine empowerment.

  

 

     
     

Richard Akers - Vice-President

Richard (Rick) Akers hails from Michigan and has degrees HVAC and Industrial Technology.  Mr. Akers is a veteran of the US Marine Corps and is an avid runner with seven marathons under his belt. His professional experience spans a spectrum from the oil and gas to nuclear energy. Having traveled extensively and lived abroad in the Netherlands and England he always brings common sense and logic to the table. He enjoys working with his hands and being outdoors and is currently employed as a Property Manager in Texas.

 

 

     
     

Starla Akers - Secretary Treasurer

Starla Akers has worked extensively in executive and administrative management, leadership and team building, and quality assurance in various industries throughout her professional career. After the suicide of her son in 2008, she has devoted much time and resources to the ministry she co-founded to provide hope and support for individuals and families dealing with life controlling issues.  She has worked Kairos Outside ministry and led Bible studies for inmates and other small groups.  She is actively involved in the local Hebraic community and teaches Hebrew and Hebraic dance.  Mrs. Akers is currently employed as Quality Assurance Manager for a pipeline construction company in New Mexico.

 

 

     
     

Sierra Bayes - Fund Raising Coordinatior

Sierra is currently a High School Senior. In school she is working to be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), while working to remain top of her class. She is a Youth Leader, Worship Leader, and volunteer with Jesus Said Love. Sierra plans to use her heart for people and leadership qualities to empower young adults, specifically young ladies. After graduation she will be attending college to become a Social Worker. Her goal is to get the necessary requirements to become a self-employed Social Worker, so she will be able to start up her own ministry/organization to help exploited women and children.
